2024 MAZDA CX-90 Range
The Mazda CX-90 PHEV isn’t an all-electric Mazda. Instead, it’s the perfect stop-gap between a traditional gas-powered SUV and an EV. The Mazda CX-90 PHEV has two engines that work together as the e-SKYACTIV®-PHEV. It couples a 2.5L combustion engine and a 68 kWh electric motor that gets its power from a home or public charging station. The Mazda CX-90 PHEV range is an EPA-estimated 26 miles. This is just right for most commutes from Warner Robins or Robins Air Force Base, and it’s great for running errands and carpooling. For longer trips, the electric motor gives the gas engine a boost that leads to an incredible 56 combined MPGe* (miles per gallon equivalent).
2024 MAZDA CX-90 Charging Time
Most Macon drivers are still new to electric vehicles and PHEVs, and many have expressed concerns about EV and PHEV battery charging times. You have several great options for sharing with a variety of charging times:
- Level 1 (120V AC): 6 hours and 40 minutes
- Level 2 (240V AC): 1 hour and 30 minutes
Level 1 charging, while slowest, is the easiest to achieve since all you have to do is plug into a three-prong 120-volt outlet. Level 2 charging is generally done with an in-home charging station or a public charger. We don’t have times for Level 3 DC public charging stations, but those times will be even faster than Level 2 times, usually filling a PHEV battery in minutes.
